News from the Clever Cubs

MARIA has shown such a big improvement since last year. She has been awarded a Certificate for Improvement in Mathematics as she progressed from a D to a C this year. Congratulations Maria.

FRANS loves to play the big brother role towards his little brother Saul! When he's not looking after and protecting his brother, he loves playing with all the toys - cars in particular and lots of colouring too.

BESSA has grown from a shy boy
to such a caring and playful boy. Bessa is picking up new English words all the time and sounds so cute speaking in English - aww!

KANNA is so helpful and loves being at school. Kanna loves football and just can't stay away from a football when he sees one! When he's not kicking a ball around, he also enjoys colouring in. Here is Kanna with his brand new pair of shoes, made bespoke and donated by Jim McIntosh from New Zealand.

JOSEPHINA is very hardworking and really enjoys being at school. Her hard work has definitely paid off as she was awarded a Certificate of Best Performance in English and passed all her exams with flying colours. Well done Josephina!

PETRUS took a while getting used to leaving his family and coming to school each day and the tears would flow. However, now he's the first one to arrive at school in the morning and jumps straight on the swings, which he loves!
ANNA is always helpful and all the younger children have grown fond of her and look up to her. Anna also enjoys Mathematics a lot.

ANDY has a very busy year coming up. She will be getting ready for Grade One next year but we're confident she'll cope as she is very hardworking and determined.

MARTHA is a smart, shy girl but always has a big smile on her face. Martha made us so proud as she was one of the best in her class and was awarded a Certificate for Good Behaviour.

DARA has the biggest smile and just by the look on her face you can tell she loves being at school, surrounded by all the other children. She's a real cutie and everyone dotes on her here!

DENZEL is always busy with his building blocks and all the other children help and play with him - picking him up and building the blocks with him. Now that he can walk he always ensure he gets what he wants!

DESHI is always busy with something! She loves playing with the dolls, playing with dough and also colouring in.

MERCIA always shows a huge amount of interest in her schoolwork and has just started attending a school in Gobabis. She left a few weeks ago but will return to the farm during her holidays. We're already missing her smiley face but know it's a great opportunity for her and we're sure she'll enjoy it.

WILLEMINA is very hardworking and always focused in her classes. We're confident she'll succeed at her primary school which she starts this year - good luck Willemina!

DIEN will be preparing herself for mainstream school next year (2012) and working diligently to make it. It's an exciting year Dien!

LISA always has a smile on her face! Lisa loves singing, dancing and playing with dolls. She loves coming to Clever Cubs and never misses a single day.

LEVY is so caring, sharing and helpful. He has just received some very exciting news that Windhoek Gymnasium, Namibia's biggest private school have given him a bursary to attend the school until all his school years are complete. Congratulations Levy! This is wonderful news and a great opportunity for Levy. We're so grateful to Windhoek Gymnasium for their generosity

CAITRIONA loves playing with dolls! She's very good at sharing her toys and always gets along with the other children very well.

CHRISJAN is the only boy among 3 girls that will be starting First Grade this year. He's really looking forward to it and can't wait to get on the school bus!

BETTIE did so well last year and passed her year with flying colours. She loves reading short stories in Afrikaans and she can't wait to see her brother join her at the same school this year.

Dina P successfullygraduated from Clever Cubs in December and has started at Eros primary school this week. She comes back to the farm and jumps off the school bus with a big smile on her face so we think she's enjoying it there!
